Marie Borthwick : Stillwaters run deep

One of the most incredible things about being an author is how you travel with the book to poetically named places like Stillwater, Minesotta--which is where my next young reader MARIE BORTHWICK is from. The very motivated & energetic Marie is a key member of the dynamic Novel Publicity team (watch them they are gonna go places!) who supported me with my first ever blog tour, to promote The Destiny of Shaitan. What amazed me about Marie was her unfailing cheerfulness; she kept the faith and kept me going, it was almost not a surprise to find out about that she had studied Hindu mythology in college.  Over to you Marie:

MARIE BORTHWICK
My young reader
 from Stillwater, Minnesota

a. What is the one thing you want to do/ have done before you die? I want to travel out of the country! I dream about going to places like Germany, France and Japan

b. What's your pet peeve? Disorder - I am an organization freak! I guess that's what happens when you have OCD :D I like things to have a place and be in their place - if they are not it can mess up my whole day!
c. Which book/ non-fiction/ prose/ movie had the greatest impact on you. Why? The movie Precious... I have never cried so hard and so much during a movie. It really touched me. I have gone through some tough things in my life but never on the level that Precious did - it made me really appreciate what I have.
d. Do you believe in life on other planets? Absolutely! There are how many planets around us - like a billion? Well maybe not a billion but you get the point. It is far too obnoxious for us to think we are the only inhabited planet...it would be tally cool to live long enough to learn that there is in fact other intelligent life out there for sure.

e. What do you like/ challenge about The Destiny of Shaitan? I love the mythology in it - I wish I could write something so unique and interesting based on mythology!
Marie has depended on books all her life – for entertainment, for emotional support, and for escape. She enjoys writing on her blog, Write Panic Live, where she shares the high, lows and in-betweens of living with mental illness, her path to becoming a published writer, and all the books she reads along the way. While Marie has worked many jobs over the years and has a wealth of college education under her belt, her first love has always been writing. In the spring of 2011 she picked up her favorite pen and grabbed a notebook to begin writing her current WIP, “Route 6”. Never one to take a single project under her belt, she has several “pots on the stove.” Marie lives in Minnesota with her four bunnies (Hershey, Reeses, Coco and Frank) and a several hundred strong “frog” collection. You can find her on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, Google+, and Tout !
